I notice the camber is flat so I have to wonder if they welded the swing arm brackets in lower than stock to accomplish that. That would be a problem for me along with those helper shocks

The 64 151 I just finished up and the 66 A1 both had flat camber when I got them. The 66 had short shocks that held it at that position, and the 64 had cut down springs. I replaced the offending parts on both. Another one I had had some over length aftermarket Monroe shocks on it. When I put it up on the lift, both springs fell out. It took me a while to figure out the difference in the rear springs for the 151, A1, and A2.

Yeah and some smart cookie is going to buy that (all the while playing stupid) and then sue the guy for misrepresentation/fraud and the claimant will likely get all his money back and get to keep the truck! That seller is asking for big trouble.

Going to be pretty hard to claim misrepresentation when he has all those pictures. He is not hiding anything and I do not see anywhere that he makes a specific claim that it is a "true" M-151.

Actually, I wouldn't mind someone giving me either... although the encore's stencil job makes me want to smack somebody on the back of the head.

Actually, we rushed the stencil job on the 1964 Kaiser, and used the wrong white paint. It really is a terrible set of markings. I need to learn how to do that better.

I think he is totally representing it as an M151A1. He even has a year of manufacture. No Encores or Titans were made that early. Nowhere does he state the name of the company that made the body or the actual year it was assembled. He does not state any details of the title. I know at least one person (he's a member of this group), who bought an Encore which was represented as an M151A2. Only after finding this site did he realize the difference. He paid a very heavy price for it only to find it was as represented. He wanted an actual M151 for a very specific purpose. The Encore was not that. Sucks to be him, I realize, but just the same......

I for one would not knock it. Looks 200% better than the other stencil job!!!!

I have to agree with Vzike. Definitely seems to be a misleading advert. Would be interesting to see what the title states. Hopefully, any would be buyers will notice something doesn't match up. Hell, I thought I was buying an A1 a year ago. I should have done more research as well.

I am not saying he is not trying to pass it off as a 151, I am just saying that with all the pics and the fact that he does not state anywhere that it is an original that you would probably lose in court.
As in any purchase of antique or classic vehicles you HAVE to know the vehicle inside and out before spending big money. If you are buying one for 2500.00 then it is not a big deal but with prices at 15 grand and up you better damn well know every detail of the vehicle or take someone with you that does. That is why they have professional appraisers.

There are some people who do not even know they have an Encore! I talked to a guy who was selling one and had it listed as a 151. He was very surprised to find out it was not a M-151 since that was what he had bought it as. He even sent me a copy of his original bill of sale, from a dealer no less. He immediately changed his ad to show that it was an Encore. Not all people are dishonest.
