60 amp front bearing

Unread post by svramselaar » December 29th, 2016, 7:22 am

hi

maybe a tip
i have done it like this because the ventilator can not trow the winding's to the front :(

at the 60 amp alternator sits a front bearing size 20-52-15 millimeter bearing no 6304
normally you must take the whole alternator apart
to put a new one in
take the pulley key and ring off
take regulator screws out (backside ) take regulator off
the wire`s has numbers on the regulator at the housing one is not used
put a piece of cardboard between the brush set and rings to prevent breaking them
take the front screws out
now can the front shield (ONLY THE SHIELD NOT THE WIRING ) :!: :!: a bit out from the Stator holder the axle go also a bid out
now you can with a puller the front shield from the axle
take at the front the screws out and replace the bearing
put the shield so far back as you can (not with a hammer please )
put the small ring back over the axle
take a piece of pipe and press with the nut the bearing at his place on the axle it go easy with a air wrench
if it sits in place look at the backside
the brush set and springs are from his place put them back in
now the axle can back in watch out not to damage the brush set
put at the front the screws in
put the key in and pulley on
put the wiring at the regulator and put it back in wiring must be free from the axle
screws in and done the job :D

Using the pipe and the nut to press the bearing back on is a nice idea. 8)
