I was watching this issue unfold with great interest. You can't just assume anything with these old trucks. Despite how badly mine looks and how much abuse it has suffered throughout its life, I was able to pull the old rags off my A2 and had a new vinyl top installed in about then ten minutes and it fit like a glove.
