Timing light

Picked this up on the other G the other day, $50 shipped, just thought it was cool, that's a bad habit I have, the adapter kit looks complete, anyone ever used one?

Hey Hambone!

Your modern multi meter and that test adapter set is all you need to figure out exactly what is going on with your original vehicle electrics.

Out on the Radio Nerds site they have the PS Magazines. Download the one on this link and start reading on page 2. http://psmag.radionerds.com/index.php/042

Cheers!

Thanks Strum, that's the info I was looking for, going to try out the timing light this weekend, just like the old school stuff. 8)

hi

the piece near the little box you need for the timing lite at the spark plug wire nr1 or nr 4 ( i do both so i can see if the axle is bend )

if you take the plug at the top of the distributor and put the small aluminum piece with the pin in you can see the dwells at the points

all others break in cables you use at a generator or alternator for a Amp meter so you don't have to cut cable`s to set the meter at it

Thanks George, I was wondering what that piece with the pin was, haven't seen it in anything I have read so far.

Buddy , one more valuable part there,
There are two other pieces that when they are assembled make a way to get to get timing pulse for the timing light:
Have one in my kit and used it everytime I have the timing out.
Hope that helps.
