I received one of these last week. It is in very good condition, the bottom edges are soft and pliable. no sign of rot.

I was already to buy one till I saw the shipping price! Typical E-Pay ploy, show a decent sale price and make up the difference on the shipping! 32.00 for shipping!!!

Received mine just minutes ago. It's in absolutely beautiful, as-new condition, and soft as baby's bottom. Must have been stored in a vacuum. Worth every penny.

Hi Guys,
I was interested in one but the guy tells me he cannot ship to England because it exceeds the permitted length! He might be right and I am assuming the thing would not easily bend even into a horseshoe shape but it cannot weigh much? Though it makes you wonder how skis, yard brooms and even entire Mutt windshields get freighted around the world?

I can assure you that it my bend if you try hard enough but that would be the end of it, they are not meant to bend. There is a metal backbone through the middle of it.

Challenger 2

I was told the same thing, he could not ship to NZ on account of its length, hence the reason I had my purchase delivered to a California postal address for pick up when I am next in the US, in a couple of months time. Suggest you contact a shipping company who is bringing US auto parts and cars into the UK and get it delivered to them in US and have it sent on to UK this way.

Not coming to anyones defense, but just stating facts.... As soon as you pass a certain length or size on a shipping item, the price automatically jumps for freight. UPS is no different. As soon as a certain length is passed, the price will exponentially go up, regardless of the weight. Even their website will tell you that. Just keep that in mind before assuming anything.

Its the same when shipping inside CONUS, Ill use Antenna sections as an example they fit in a 4x4 inch box but they are over 4 feet in length, shoots the shipping to about $20.00 bucks...

Thanks Ag and other members,
Yes, I can see what you mean. On a larger heavy and more expensive item the size/length issue is not so critical, when you factor in that this item is relatively cheap the high cost of shipping anywhere can be a challenge.
Thanks Rossco, I will explore that as a possible solution AND can I also say that the eBay seller came back to my shipping query really quick and his response was informative and apologetic.

I got my NOS one out and it is far from a baby's bottom so went ahead and ordered one even with the expensive shipping. Hope you are right on the condition.
