Side Curtain Rods

Unread post by m3a1 » March 21st, 2017, 9:38 pm

Hi guys. Guess what...I'm in the hospital (and I don't mean just visiting) and I'm trying to kill some time.

So, I'm searching the site for some kind of photo or diagram of the side curtain rods (and the method by which they attach to the truck) and I'm not finding much. I understand they're a 3/8 rod, flattened at one end with a slight offset but that's about all I know.

Can anyone provide a photo or maybe a drawing and some measurements?

Cheers,
TJ

i don't have a picture, but i can tell you about the method of attachment. the flattened end drops into a footman loop on the side of the body, and they top end has a horizontal pin welded to it, with chain and clip attached. insert the pin through the hole in the top bow attaching arm, and then slide the clip through the small hole in the end of the horizontal pin, so that it remains in place. i looked in the -20P manual, but couldn't find a picture of the rod, just the part number. maybe it's in the -34P.

Thought I'd post this for the next guy who might be reading this. It's not everything I wanted to see, but it'll help. I'll post more on this as I get my stuff together unless someone else does it first.

Yep, thats how it is done, real fun when a thunderstorm is bearing down on you. Nowhere near as quick and easy as my CJ! Those doors are a real pain.
