If he or I is trying to buy it! NOS, I would start at 200-250. Finding a pulley should net be too hard since all A2's had the three groove pulley. If all else fails I am sure ALP has one but you will pay a premium for it.

Well my a2 had an a1 generator on it, so only a 2 groove pulley. So i will be doing some looking for the 3 groove.

Remember you need a fan pulley and a crank pulley:
You will need a se of three mached belts:
Bought a set of pulleys from Murray for around $60.00
Belts were around $20:00 from Frontline:

After all those expenses it may be cheaper just to leave the 25 amp generator and sell me the alternator!

PS: You may also need the upper mounting bracket.

There was a 60AMP in a M151A1 at Aberdeen and I asked the owner if he has any problems using the 2 groove pulley's, he said he hasnt noticed any, so I'd try it first and if it doesnt work then start the hunt for the 3 groove. Scott O&O

Over the years, many people, both here and at G503, have reported running a 2 groove pulley and belt system with the 60 amp alternator with no ill effects. Several people over at 503 with M38/M38a1s have also run a 60 amp alternator with 2 belts with no problems. Don't see why you would have any problems. Not really necessary though unless you are running a large radio rack or other high electrical load accessory.

The two belt system turns the generator slower so the 60 amp alternator may not charge until it gets to higher rpms. As long as it is charging enough to keep the batteries up then it should not be a problem.
