Mounting the M12 pedestal gun mount on M151

Hi All.
Mounting tne Mi2 pedestal gun mount, is it necessary to remove the muffler heat shield ? where can I find the dimensions for drilling the holes

There may well be an M12 pedestal mount but I haven't come across one. Do you mean the M4 pedestal, which is the correct one for the mutt?
