Rules of the G838.org

Unread post by moose53 » December 16th, 2007, 7:24 pm

A long time ago I operated a community bulletin board system in the days before the internet.
A group of BBS Sysops formed a network called Fidonet that linked us all together and provided a sort of forum/email system which I was part of. It worked well, til rendered obsolete by the internet.

These rules came from there, and I think they would apply well here too. They will be what I have in mind should situations develop that require my intervention. They are simple and easy to remember.

There are only two:

1. Thou shalt not be excessively annoying...

2. Thou shalt not be too easily annoyed.

Please keep them in mind as you post your thoughts and opinions.... and just so there is no confusion, commercial advertisements not approved by the system administrator (ie Spam) will definately be considered excessively annoying and result in deletion with no further notice.

There will be no political discussion on this forum, period. That includes political references that could be inflammatory to others. This forum is 100% non partisan and will stay that way.
We have had good members of this forum quit over senseless arguments over politics and it will not be tolerated anymore.
