Hurricane Irma
I know we have several active members from Florida, you guys stay safe, we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
Re: Hurricane Irma
I know Vin Zike is right on the water so I hope he fares alright. The museum that I bought My M37 from is also right on one of the inland bays. How far inland are you Lindsay?

Re: Hurricane Irma
I am in evacuation zone "C" appx 5 miles inland from the Gulf, "west coast" , we are on fairly high ground and should be OK, sand bags at Patio doors to the pool area X2, just in case the pool over flows. Thanks for checking on us.

Re: Hurricane Irma
Sorry Mr. R, I did not include you because I thought you were further inland but I should have remembered when I was talking about you working on my sis in laws camper that you were in the area. It is looking like a direct hit on the tip of Fla. so you are going to get wet and windy but at least that will cause it to lose power quickly. That is relative with a storm that large though.

Re: Hurricane Irma
Good to hear everyone is prepared, I wonder about Vin, as Rick said, he lives on Singer Island, just North of Miami, he may take a lick from storm surge, he was probably smart and got out.

You will probably get in but depending on what your business is there that may not happen.Horst wrote:I am booked for a flight week after next to Fort Lauderdale. Let's see if that will makes sense...

Re: Hurricane Irma
Hey y'all. I know my recent posts are suggesting it's been nothing but fun and games here in Texas but I've had our southern members on my mind for days. Whether you are hunkered, or on the move, my best wishes for the safety and comfort of you and your loved ones.
Re: Hurricane Irma
Down here in New Zealand we are watching events as they unfold in Florida and surrounding area. From the South Pacific it's hard to appreciate how devastating these storm events are and the disruption and loss to life and property they cause.
Be assured the rest of the world (regular folk that is) share your distress and heartbreak and are praying for you.
Sadly it seems world wide we are experiencing more of these extreme weather events!
