Re: Help in history of my Mutt
Welcome Ben, can't help on the history but I'm sure Ken (muttguru) will chime in, good looking A2, I am interested in that distributor, has it been converted to 12V?
Re: Help in history of my Mutt
That is not a normal M151 number, where was it located? The original number would be on a tag on the side of the transmission tunnel about where your right ankle would be when driving. Behind the lines there. I see no emissions canister so it may be an early AMG or possibly an early Ford but the Ford tag would be above the valve cover and I don't see it.
This might give some help in finding some numbers.

An unusual way to mount the horn, almost looks the bracket has been reversed. Tell us more about the distributor!
