M-151 windshields
M-151 = full glass, does not fold down
M-151a1= 2 section glass that folds down
M-151a2= Full glass that folds down
Am I correct. I am still learning.

Re: M-151 windshields
They all fold down, A2 is the only one with full glass. Full glass "can" be put in an A1 frame with the proper A2 rubber.

Re: M-151 windshields
Hmmm, I had a older '62 M151 (not a M-151 a1) that did not fold down and it was one piece glass. I still have the windshield and frame, if you want a picture. ???

Re: M-151 windshields
Ok. But, how would it explain a one piece glass on a 62 ? Google is not the bible here.halftracknut wrote:Try google it has tons of photos....
However, owning a 56 year old mutt, means anything could have been altered. (my 2 cents)
Re: M-151 windshields
i spent decades in the glass business. based on work i have seen, and done, someone like me removed the center bar and fabricated a slightly wider windshield and installed it in the original frame. this was common on old civilian cars that had flat 2 piece windshields, in order to improve visibility.acudanut wrote:Ok. Re: M-151 windshields
The fact that it did not fold down tells me it was probably not even a 151 windshield. But like I said, an A2 glass and gasket will fit in an A2 frame without the center divider. At least that is what I have been told.

Re: M-151 windshields
That is what probably happened on my 62. I just don't remember the glass folding down. It's been a long time. Can't remember $$hit. lol
