Aberdeen 2018

Unread post by Rustman » May 7th, 2018, 10:30 am

Anyone going to be at Aberdeen selling their MUTT stuff? I'm looking to go on Friday to shop for my MUTT as well as my other collecting addictions of WW2-Vietnam Air Force stuff. Wife is talking about coming along and bringing our mutt to walk around. He's only 5 months old but 40 lbs. He needs socializing and to learn the world won't kill him.

I will be there on Friday walking around as much as the worn out body will allow me to do. Friday evening I will be hanging out at a buddies trailer for the steak dinner he puts on every year. A note for the pooch, if it is sunny the asphalt of the parking lot gets very hot and it WILL burn his paws so keep that in mind. People do not think about how hot pavement gets in the sun and there is really nowhere to go if you are shopping other than on the pavement. The far right side looking towards the highway and the far bottom where you will be parked are grass. Please don't burn his feet!

Have not been in years, how is the show Rick? I had a great time when Ian and I came, wish I could but very busy with the company. Good advise about the pavement and pets paws, if I came Gunner would be with me :D

The show is nowhere near what it used to be. I only go for the day now, I may stay overnight if I stay late on Friday evening.

Good advice for the Mutt!! Wife isn't too interested in shopping with me so I wouldn't be surprised if she and him head to the grass anyway. One reason I go Friday is for the auction. I've gotten good deals at it, and auctions are always fun. I might even donate some stuff to the auction this year.

My plans have changed and I will be going Thursday for the whole day and I will be there for a while Friday morning. I have not decided whether I am taking the mutt or not. I really need to push myself to do some walking but that much on pavement will mean a short day probably. I usually drive the mutt around s That gives me a whole day of browsing. We will see, fuel and tolls for the truck and trailer are really brutal! One toll on the way back is 26.00!!
Think I can cruise the aisles in a 400 horse Mustang?

Pray for more vendors and good weather!
Last year had neither.
Going was a best was a disappointment.

I'll be at the Findlay show. Thought about Aberdeen but just don't have the time.
