Hood Types by Variant?

Unread post by Rustman » May 8th, 2018, 7:04 am

I see hoods with two or three "chevron" supports on the underside. Which hood type is correct for which variant? M151, A1, A2?

Thanks
Matt

Original hood was three chevron.
Intermediate hood was two chevron.
Late hoods were again three chevron.
If you had any model you could find a twio chevron .
NOS replacements are all three chevron.
To some extent it’s your call.

Fil,

Thanks. Mine is an A1 the hood I think has 2 chevrons. But it also has a chunk of windshield washer assembly on it. Originally only A2's had windshield washers right? I don't have any other washer components on mine, just the nozzle and a bit of tubing. If the hood is otherwise unchanged then I could just fill the hole in rather then replace the hood to make it correct?
