It takes a village!

Unread post by Lindsay36551 » May 23rd, 2018, 9:23 pm

Just wanted to thank everyone here for all the support and knowledge you have sent my way with this (resurrection) More than a restoration!
This was litterly a spaghetti strainer project!
A few prominent, knowledgeable, figures on this site and other sites , said let her go she's lived a full life!
( I had already spent 3800.00 on the truck, 600 to get her media blasted , My wife(who I'm more afraid of than anyone!) said you r waist deep ! test yourself!
Well I wanted to learn how to weld and fabricate sheet metal!

Well we are down to little things like horn buttons and making her run perfect!
I will be asking a lot of questions in the next few weeks , mostly to bank up our search results on little items.
These will all be things that I need help with ,not just an exercise
Again Thank you
Rick, Your tough but honest!!Your a good man and I respect your opinions ,BOTH on and off the record! thank you!!!
Fil Bonica, The man that will walk to the garage at minus 10 degrees to double check some question I asked him while its 80degrees here!
God I miss the cape! It's totally pissa!
Hambone, Quite, to the point! Always perfect advice , on and off the record! Thank you!
And then there's YO VIN VIKE!, typical SO,GB , quiet, ask the correct question and you get the correct answer! Thanks for giving the shirt off your back for me .I really needed those parts.
God bless the 7th and 10th sf
And everyone else, Thank you for making me use my mind and set me in the correct direction.
Its been a fun build , but god I'm tired!
Gonna take a few months to enjoy her ,tweek her, and then it will be time to send her to the new correct home and look for another project!
Best regards
Lindsay

PS Ken, thank you for all the moral support behind the scenes!(your the best!!!!!!!)

Thanks for the comments Lindsey, here to help in anyway I can and my hats off to the other guys you mentioned who I've absorbed my knowledge from. Some of the new members never knew a couple of guys that also had an influence in my 151 hobby, Toptiger and Ralph Fuller, R.I.P, we still remember.
