Current A-1 Value??

Unread post by Cobra5 » December 17th, 2007, 4:17 pm

Okay Guys,

What's the value of an A-1 that was rewelded and has a few bubba mods, i.e. cut hole in dash to installed old car radio, recovered the seats with other than original material, and roll bar. Oh ya the floorboards appear to be shot, it doesn't run, and I haven't seen a picture of the underside.

Tim: It's really hard to tell with out pics. One just sold on ebay and I missed the price but it had to be close to 5000 and it was ready to turn to dust. It did look good from the inside up. Transportation cost is another factor. It seems every time I find some thing I like it's on the East Coast. Good luck.

Boy Joe, you really hate the cuts don't you? I have to agree with Joe on this one though. Not running, rotted through floors. Channels underneath are probably gone. Roll bar can come out although I would probably leave it if it is a good install. I'll take the loss of points for the safety tradeoff. Hole in dash could be filled and welded. There are plenty of engines out there. The underbody is the heart of a mutt, If it is gone the vehicle is dead!

Maybe, But driving race cars for thirty years I have had the occasion to use up a few roll bars! I would not put one in but if it is there and installed correctly..................

With out seeing it......off the top of my head I'd say 1000. If the weld is good and not mucked up or a poor job. If the weld is no good then 500 for the parts. If the motor isn't a brick it can be made to run again.
There is one nut on a M151 that is very difficult to remove.....
