Need someone in the KC area (electrical)
I need to rewire a front end on a 62 M151. Electrical stuff, is not my cup of tea. ( I have a new A2 harness).
Thanks, Mike

Re: Need someone in the KC area
If I remember right the connection point for the front/rear harnesses is above the heater. The wire harness diagram will tell you where the numbers go

Re: Need someone in the KC area
You already have the 60 amp alternator so the harness will lay in there in place and be pretty much plug and play. The only connections you will have to modify will be the turn signals and blackouts and you don't need them right away to get it running. And the front and rear harness connect behind the dash just to the left of the gauges.

Everything you'll need (well, almost everything) right here in the G838 wiki.

Re: Need someone in the KC area
Aha, Well, I don't know of anyone in that area. We have a couple member on the other end of Missouri but that is all I know. Hambone in Arkansas. This is coming into hunting season though, those guys are probably all camped out for the season.

I live in Kansas City. I will message you my info.

Images from Cuda.
I will leave signal to blackout to someone more knowledgeable than I but for a NOS a2 wire harness the headlights are simple to resolve. First pull the lamps out but leave connected by wires. Each wire should be tagged and the headlight buckets are stamped by the connections (tags 17, 18, & 91 for ground). Make sure someone didn't connect them incorrectly. Reinstall headlights. Unless buckets are heavily painted you should see stamped numbers on opposite side. If not, mark them with a sharpie. One side of the harness has tag 19 which is for the fender blackout. Other side should be routed so distributer connection and horn wires (tags 25) are routed on passenger side. Match the tagged numbers on new harness to the bucket stamped or sharpie numbers.
There are three circuit breakers. They are located to the left of the instrument panel in the bottom picture and are held in by the 6 screws/holes. They look like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-Military-T ... qp&vxp=mtr
There is also a disk type circuit breaker in the three lever switch which is known to go bad with age. Rebuild instructions Are located here> Tried it once but not with much luck.

Re: Need someone in the KC area
Thanks Matt. You can see the wiring mess on my 62. The last picture is my problem. Where does that round plug in go to ?
I Also need a on/off switch. Anyone have one ?

Re: Need someone in the KC area
Big one looks like the end that goes to a turn signal from the control box. Wire looks smaller and connection holes look smaller as well... not sure.

Re: Need someone in the KC area
Matt where is this control box ?
My brother is helping me, so I am using his good back to help me out.

Re: Need someone in the KC area (electrical)
On the floor to the left of the starter button, That should be part of the turn signal harness. That plug is for the headlight switch I believe. Need a number off of the other single wire so I can tell where it goes. In that vicinity I would guess the wiper wire.
