Think so? Up in Ohio we used to take the snowmobile out during the summer. It was hard on the grass but oh boy was that a lot of fun.

About 14 inches here so far and it's supposed to snow more through the night and into Sunday :(

We also raced them on hay and grass in the summer. Not to mention raced across lakes at high speed or so you hoped. Does not mean that the sled is going to last all that long. And with 7" you hit a rock at 40-50 mph something is going to break. You also do not have enough of a cushion to cross roads with running the skis on the bare road, fine if you have carbides but even they wear down quickly.
I used to race for an Arctic Cat team so I know a little about snow machines.

Yep. Snowmobiles actually love grass but they hate rocks. We did not abuse the machine. This took place on the tractor lanes located between fields where there was always a lot of good, thick, healthy grass and no rocks. Smooth sailing.
