Hello folks....

Yes, it's another contract for a new utility truck. This one is based on the Chevy Colorado and an order has been placed for 649 of these Infantry Squad Vehicles (ISVs) from GM Defense Ltd and this is what it looks like:-

Figures, The Colorado is not exactly a stellar vehicle to begin with. Of coarse I am sure the military is paying a few hundred grand for each one bare minimum. Todays warfare simply does not have a place for unarmored light vehicles. That thing, and all in it, would be vaporized in an IED explosion. If and IED can tear apart an uparmored HMMWV what do you think it would do to this thing?

It appears to me this vehicle was designed by one of those reality chop shop programs on Motortrend channel. Or, the designers watched MAD MAX to many times. A death trap. Would make a great parade vehicle however. Strap in and wave to the crowd.

Looks like crap. Doubt it will perform as intended.
Some people are too busy knowing it all to ever learn anything

Doesn't matter. All that matters is how well connected the company is with the congressman in that state.

As a tactical vehicle, technically it would be really hard to hit if there's less TO hit...right?

Remember when you were a kid and always said, "Missed me!" to your friends? (except in my neighborhood where we 'friends' used pellet rifles and yelling, "Missed me!" would always draw unreasonable amounts of retribution in the form of a great many .177 slugs of lead whistling through the air. It's a wonder we're not all blind in at least one eye.)

Well, maybe troops in these vehicles will be trained to say the same thing.. or not.

Would YOU want to be in there with an IED of normal strength going of within 50-75 yards of you? Not me! Any closer would be pretty much of a no brainer, quite literally   .

I would be court martialed. Would refuse to put my troops in that death trap. Point well taken also, General Motors needs to rid the inventory of a slow seller pickup. 🇺🇸🦅

Well, Rick, I have been up close and personal with two IEDs (VBIEDs, actually) and I can say with great authority that 50-75 yards ain't enough.

I'd rather be shot at all day long than face another one of those...

As we all know, the best military vehicles are those that are purpose built from the ground up.
