I got my first immunization this morning. Pfizer. I'm only 54, but have "co-morbidities" so i got the early call.

Three quick observations apropos of nothing, but wanted to share:

--The VA wouldn't even discuss adding me to the waiting list (yet). The best i could do with VA is sign up for email updates, which basically tell me to keep waiting. I wasn't begging for the shot, honestly, i just wanted to be in line when it was my turn.
--I got an email from my PCM telling me i was eligible and they scheduled me for it the next day. Very efficient system at the immunization site too.
--The nurse didn't pull my syringe from some super-cold fridge or dry ice...it was in a plastic bag on her workbench. So i'm guessing the super-cold storage stuff is for when its in transit or general storage, but it can warm up some before they give it to you.

got my first shot this week too. From what I understand they warm it up beginning of the day and it can be used for the rest of the day. Something like that was mentioned on the paperwork
