Great February Mutting

Unread post by mrdibbles » February 2nd, 2008, 8:47 pm

Hey Guys-
Two days ago I was stranded in Chicago with 600 flights canceled. Today... in Austin... it was awesome. Here in Austin, at the very beginning of February, the weather was ideal! I put the windshield down, wore a T-Shirt and shorts, and drove to the grocer to stock up for the Super Bowl. Coming from Chicago's winter storm into this 72 degree weather was a real treat. I even got to chat with a couple 25 plus year veterans, who were also stocking up for the big game, and to top it all off they were 1st Cav (my Jeep is so marked). They knew it was an A2 and said they'd never seen one on the road. Anyway it was great... and now I am tapping into my stock for tomorrow :D
Regards,
Matt-

Thats great Mr D.... I think you'll find most people will be surprised to see one. Thats what I like about our jeeps, just a touch different from the multitude of old jeeps we see all the time. Enjoy the game!

It's going to be 72 degrees here in middle Georgia today, and all I'm taking off is my doors. As soon as the sun starts going down it gets too cool for these old bones.

Ralph and Mr.D.

All you are doing is making us snow belt dwellers jealous. It's going to be in the low 40's here, so maybe some of the snow will melt. :D Even if it was 80, I still wouldn't get my M151 out though, as the roads are literally white with all the salt on them. :( I may get the tractor out and push around some snow though.

Raymond: They don't use salt around here. It has not snowed this winter. As I recall, it didn't snow last winter either. I'm about 45 minutes from Fort Benning, Georgia. That's OK, because I don't own a snow shovel.

Thursday night it was 3 degrees, and tomorrow it is supposed to be 65 and rain. In Mo. you get 3 seasons sometimes in 1 day. :?
