1975 - Southern Germany

Unread post by mrdibbles » February 5th, 2008, 10:58 am

Hey Guys-
A friend of mine sent these to me, sent to him via a friend, who was the CO of "C" Company 237th Engineering Combat Battalion back in the mid-70's in southern Germany. The picture below shows an A2 being painted, in an interesting camo scheme, and the rest are during operations to deploy a river crossing. I hope you enjoy these. Thanks for sharing them Mark!

Interesting "light bar" above the windshield. I've never seen one quite like that. Looks like it would be easy to reproduce. Using wingnuts, one could make it easily removeable.

Very nice photos, thanks for posting them Matt and thank your friend for all of us :) , I wish we had colored film when I was there in the 60's but I think the black and white shots look good as well. Dan.
