Rick,

Are these made in Buffalo? I had a welding instructor that was a dealer back in the 90's. Looks like the same buggy. I had a car trailer at the time and picked one up at the manufacturer (as I remember) and delivered it to his customer.

They used to be and then the company sold out to Mudd-Ox out west. I saw mention in some forum that a company in England now owns the name so I guess Mudd-Ox shed the name.

It's refreshing to see something that someone has actually cared for.

Well, It was supposed to be turnkey and do nothing but ride but when I got it home it would barely run. I have it narrowed down to a fuel pump or carb, the carb is a basic as it possibly gets and looks good so I am hoping the extremely weak pump is the issue. The seller is just as upset as I am and he will cover all my costs so I am not to pissed, things happen.

Well, I can't imagine there's a lot going on 'under the hood' of such a vehicle. It'll be fine.

Do you have to get a watercraft license for it?

I would imagine that if I were to take it on a navigable waterway I would. But that probably would not be a real good idea, these are not boats, they are made to float across a pond or calm lake. The lakes around me specify no gasoline motors so that is out for me there. There are some back in the woods if I really want to play in the lakes but not all that curious.
