Hey 12th of March is the Big day for me and my wife!!
We will be in New York for 10Days for the honeymoon as I said in an older
topic!!!We are very happy and waiting for that day!!!!Hope to see someone of U
that is close to NY!!We are thinking to stay in Astoria (just to have an advise from a Greek man)

Baios- Astoria is not New York City. Do not stay there, or Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island or the Bronx- stay in Manhattan, the island. that is New York City central.
All the rest are outlying suburbs and to see anything you have to take the subway.
Something mid town 35th street to 65th street allows walks to everything
You will easily find a hotel, tours Broadway shows in any price at

I know but i think staying in Manhattan is going to be much more expensive than staying a few km (5-6)
far from there!!!Thats my thought ..but I will check it again!!!

Baios, I have lived much of my life in New York City and I have never been to Astoria. What is there, what am I misssing?
Let me put it this way- you travel several thousand miles to visit Athens and you decide to stay in Pireas {before the Olympic infrastructure rebuild, that is} because you think it is cheaper??? Or take that lifetime visit to Paris and stay in Argenteuil because you think it is cheaper??? Cheaper by what? Check the dollar euro exchange rates.....
Baios, good hotels in Manhattan can be found in any price range right where all the action is. go to the site and check it out.
Be sure to hook up with the NYPD and let them know you are coming and they will open the city for you. Just bring some Greek Police patches and a plaque for the chief.

Shell out some extra money and you won't be disappointed. You've got to be where the action is or else you're going to be sitting in cabs or worse you'll be chilling all day behind the wheel of your rental car. NYC traffic is a nightmare. I agree with the rest of the guys here... get into the meat of the city and live it, smell it, and have some fun. This way you'll have some sweet memories. Check online with companies like http://www.Priceline.com and http://www.Hotels.com. You might be able to find a pretty sweet deal. No matter what though I think you need to plan on at least $200-$300 per night. Ask for the beds that you can put change into as well... those kick butt.

Yes I agree to stay in Manhattan but.....not to spent a fortune over there
