for the last few trips back to the usa i have had problems keeping the engine running- just coughed out after running for a few minutes- bummer
BUT lucky me- there is a former army mechanic working in a local garage who i finally asked to take a look at the entire fuel system- when he took the carb apart the accelerator pump was partially disintergrated. All parts were soaked and cleaned so he should have it up and running with nos parts tomorrow am- missed my reliable ride for months now so i will be a happy camper from now on...

Nice... you're lucky to have a mechanic so close. My mechanic is 1000 miles away so the help I get is tech support style. Don't get me wrong though... I am not complaining. It could be worse. He could be in Lahore India and speak with that hideous "Quickie Mart" accent
