Spring has Sprung

Unread post by moose53 » April 8th, 2008, 4:59 pm

Spring has Sprung! I had a nice day here in NY today so I got my mutt out of its winter hibernation. Surprisingly, she fired right up and purred like a kitten.....I'm a happy boy! I'm amazed the batteries didn't even run down over the winter....

I just love spring, my favorite time of the year. Lots to do though. Congrats on the mutts condition.

I drove mine Friday for the first time since mid November. Fired right up. Took it down to the Clarksville Boat Club. It was as if I had reconnected with a long lost friend.

I didn't get any snow this year...live near Fort Benning, Georgia. Daytime temperatures are in the 70s so I took the doors off, but left the side curtains on. Going to display the Jeep along with a buddy giving an Airborne history/demonstration on Ft Benning Thursday. If you are near the 250 foot jump towers, look me up.

Had a great time talking to retired and active duty Airborne troopers. Mike, the guy on the left in the picture, has a great collection of WW II Airborne equipment, K rations, parachutes, etc. Lieutenant General Richard Seitz, USA, retired was the guest speaker for the 31st Annual Airborne Awards Memorial Ceremony.

Judgeing from the tire marks the mutt was sitting there for a long while. What is leaking under the mutt behind the front tire? Vicinity of brake fluid.

Jim

Being an airport operator, shouldn't you paint your M151 yellow as a "follow me" vehicle :?:  8)
