It is a test fit up. Panel will be complete when done...rickf wrote:What about the extensions at the upper ends?

Stopped at the CMD display at Findlay, Ohio today. Looking at the panels on display, they are absolutely beautiful repros.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Made some progress on the full side panel. Wanted to attempt to duplicate the original look of the stamped part as much as possible. The area shown was my concern as when these are made with sharp radii they stick out a mile away. I was happy with my first attempt.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Getting back to working on the full side panels. Need to make some tooling for the lower radius pieces.

Re: CMD Body Panels
The dies for the side panel corner radius piece were finished today. Have not tried yet but these should do the trick.

Re: CMD Body Panels
That will be a popular piece if you sell it for a patch panel.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Here is the first attempt. Need to add some material to the bottom flange but overall the part came out very nice.

Re: CMD Body Panels
Very nice and like TJ said, that will sell as a patch panel alone.
