If it wasn't he would not be sending out for tooling worth thousands of dollars.

If you have the proper equipment, yes. If not and your quality sucks, don't bother. We are a 200+ man shop and an ESOP. If it wasn't worth our while, we would not do. Trust me...

Dash drawing is on it's way to programming. Not sure if we'll have time tomorrow to run samples but next week for certain. Hopefully I have some to take to Gilbert. I'm posting pictures on our face book page for those that are interested.

And I still remember the phone call that started it. "Do you think if I make some body parts anybody will buy them?" 6 months later he was still disappointed because sales were still not good. THEN, people started hearing about the panels and it is all history from there. I can tell you that Guy has sunk a ton of his own time and energy into this venture and I am sure his bosses thought he was crazy but I am glad they supported him. I am sure this is not a moneymaker for his company but it sure is a great resource for us and I hope he continues to provide.

Hey Guy, just wondering if you've ever considered adding the repair kits to your offerings? Not that I need one but I'd bet you could do it and beat the $300 or more that vendors are getting (asking) on eBay.

I hate Facebook with a passion, it is nothing more than a place where people go to see others suffer. It should be called am unsocial site for all the damage it has done over the years. Not to mention all the problems it can cause on your computer. Granted there are some good places on there but to get to them means dealing with all the other garbage.

One time I clicked on something on Facebook, it deleted all the info on my computer, took it to the apple guy, cost me $37 to restore my computer.

You guys are funny. Face book is like real life, if you want drama, you'll get it. Our body panel page it about 151's. We don't have a bunch of kids wearing skinny jeans commenting and playing rap music. It's way easier to upload information and we have a good group on there.

Postby Rustman » January 15th, 2018, 8:50 am

Guy,

Love following your progress on Facebook.

Question about your panels though. The Driver's side front fender; the reinforcing piece under the blackout guard. Is that something available separate? My fender is rotted out under the blackout light. Not that anyone is surprised by that. But the rest of the fender is solid enough and straight enough that I want to keep it and not replace the whole thing. I'm hoping to cut out the bad metal and weld in a flat patch. But I'll lose that reinforcement.
