In my defense, I'd buy a decent camera, but that would cut into my truck fund.

Hey TJ, wrong TJ!

Then it must be a TJ thing...I've already been accused to being all thumbs with my camera.

Out of curiosity, since you'll soon have worked your way through all the M151 bits and pieces, what are you doing for an encore (and I don't mean an "Encore")

I read the Chinese space station will soon come back to earth. They may be looking for a little help in the future.

Cheers,
TJ

Part update: We have an order of the 151 / A1 rear side panels on the shop floor. Parts were cut on the laser today and now at the press brake. I just sent the AutoCAD drawing for the A2 rear side panel to programming. Going to run some test pieces first. I'll post pictures later. Nest is the under body kit as I have a request for the front three pieces. Items 4, 5 and 7 for those using the under body corrosion repair kit drawing.

Here are some pictures of the A1 and A2 rear side panels and the A2 donor part that I copied. The A1's are in production quantites and the A2's are test pieces. I might change the way we fabricate the radius piece on the A2. The two 3/16" dia holes on both parts are for plug welding the footman loop on. This will be done with a TIG welder.

I took the front cross members and the floor supports from the under body kit to the shop this morning to start the reverse engineering process. The cross members that weld under the front floors will be interesting to figure out.

So I think I'm going to purchase a bead roller at the shop. I've been thinking about the rear fender supports and what it would cost to make tooling for the ribs. Anyone remember that conversation? :) And there are some other parts like the dash that I could utilize a hand powered bead roller. We can pick up a decent one for around $650 and could be used for other parts. That's it, decision made!

Bead roller is on order, should have by the end of next week. I ordered tooling for the 151 / A1 and A2 (bigger radius) rear fender supports. Was looking at the dash that I have and we'll have to make a set of dies for that as the back side of rib that seals against the windshield gasket is on a different plane compared to the front side. Also started working on the hand drawing for the under body kit rails that support the floors. The kits parts are made out of 14 ga. These are the first 14 ga parts that I've come across. All sorts of stuff going on...

Guy,
Are you making the under body kit to fit over the existing rails as the GI kit was or exact fit?

I'm making the parts to the underbody kit sizes. Once they are done and if there is a demand it would be pretty easy to scale them down to the original size.
