Facebook site is a good read.
It is spontaneous and very easy to upload pics.
Even I can do it!
You see a wide spectrum of participants world wide.
People you don't see on the G are there.
From that persoective the 151 hobby is healthy and thriving..
Worth visiting.

Love following your progress on Facebook.

Question about your panels though. The Driver's side front fender; the reinforcing piece under the blackout guard. Is that something available separate? My fender is rotted out under the blackout light. Not that anyone is surprised by that. But the rest of the fender is solid enough and straight enough that I want to keep it and not replace the whole thing. I'm hoping to cut out the bad metal and weld in a flat patch. But I'll lose that reinforcement.

I'm pretty sure you can't view a group unless you're a member.

Been on Facebook for years, never had a problem. It allows you to filter who sees what you write and what you see. You can allow only your friends and family to see what you write and you see only what they write . It is what you make it.

Hello Guy....
over the past couple of days, two vehicle owners have posted photos of their vehicles (Nick and Acudanut). Both vehicles appear to have severe corrosion in the main frame rails but otherwise look like reasonable restoration projects.

Do you plan to start producing replacement rails for the A1/A2 any time? It seems that more and more vehicles are popping up that would benefit from these. .....just wondering...... :?:
Ken
Kind regards....
Ken

And especially the rear suspension cross member. That is one that the military said to scrap the vehicle if it was rusted since it was a suspension mounting point. That part may not be squashed on my crushed mutt so I might be able to get it off for you to duplicate. I am pretty sure the A1 and A2 are the same basic part, I will see if I can get to that as soon as I get some more replacement hoses for my loader.

Yes, that is something we can make and I have plans to do so. I have a A2 rear half that I can copy the rear frame rails from. With my A1 on the rotisserie I can easily measure the main rails.

Matt? :?

Looks to me like the front cross member and the rear suspension cross member I was talking about. Need more pictures to see the rest of it but if it is just those two and that is it then you are not in that bad of shape.

Yes, it is Guy and no, the original rails are cut off and then these are put on in place of them. That is for the underbody repair kit anyway. They will physically fit over the old rails and a lot of people did that because they did NOT read the directions!! All that did was caused both the old and new to rot out very quickly.
