My Job

Unread post by Cobra5 » December 11th, 2007, 11:08 pm

Hey guys,

Thought I'd share with you what I do for a living. I'm just the under paid maintenance guy. We just finished converting our last aircraft to a tanker. Ironiclly it was the last Neptune to roll off Lockheeds assembly line. I may quit this job and start a new job next year working on Hueys. Not sure which path I want to take.

P2's to Tankers, now that's very cool.

I like it a lot... although I did think for one second that you meant "Healeys" not "Hueys". I think Hueys would be very very cool. Healeys lead to trouble sleeping.

Floyd,

We had all ten aircraft down in So. Cal on the big fires. I'm sure they were in the news reports.

Matt: That's cuz you're worried about it falling on the Mutt. Tim, I used to ride in the nose of those things a long time ago. My backside is still tired from those patrols.

They are a cool aircraft but man are they labor intensive. I have a lot of respect for those aircrews and maintainers from back than. I can't believe you guys cramed that many people in that thing. I guess beans were off the menu before those long patrols. :D
