Ricks Restore

Unread post by rickf » January 3rd, 2010, 6:59 pm

I had started putting pictures on the thread titled "Question for Rick" but I figured it would be less confusing to start my own thread. I will be putting some pictures up on here once in a while but I am not going to put them all up since it is such a pain to add pictures. I will post a link to my Photobucket album for those who want to see all of the pictures. I don't know how many of you remember my ordeal with the front fender, finding out it was mangled. That was under a title "You never know what you will find" if I remember correctly. Well now I have moved further back because I knew there was a lot of plastic in the front left kick panel area. WOW!!! I can say fairly confidently that this mutt was a rollover mutt. Not an easy roll either. Both front fenders, and the left rear quarter and the left front side are really mangled. It was made worse by the previous owner not knowing anything about body work. This is definitely not all going to be fixed this winter. I am going to have to add some panels to my order from Fl-tacticle.

Had my own business at one time, Problem is that if you are an honest person you can't make any real money. I can't tell someone they need a head gasket when in fact they need a valve cover gasket. I guess if I had a bigger garage I would take on a job or two but it would have to be at my pace. I spent the last three days pretty much incapacitated with a severe headache. Needless to say, nothing got done for those three days.
This one is going to be a challenge that is for sure.

I can see the ads now, "Come on down to Rick's Garage and Emporium and buy shoddy goods at exorbitant prices and be treated rudely by our poorly trained sales staff" 8)  :P

The problem is that people expect you to work for nothing and don't want to pay you for your time. Also MV's are such a nitch market.

Rick

Isn't your rotisserie the one that MrR. hauled halfway across the country and according to him "weighed about 2 miles per gallon" :?:  If it's the same one, it spent an evening parked in my driveway.

Hey Ralph, You may have the wrong gif file going on here. The only thing that spins that good, are the stories of Top's "in country" billet. You know, the one with the hot and cold running women. :P
