Moose, what are the rules for this section? Just MV related projects or any vehicle? Glad to see your feeling better.

Personally I think we ought to keep it M-151 and M-416 since they are directly related and this is a M-151 site. If you start going to other vehicles you will start looking like the 503 and need many sections for all of the different vehicles. Maybe if I get some time I can start migrating the posts from Frederic and Mr. Dibbles and my old one. Any others? I know there are a lot of them that could be put here. Let's make sure they are projects and not just restored pictures. They would go in the pictures threads.

JV: Well done, glad to see you're up and about. My vote would be the 151 and 416 for now.

Yippee! A new section on G838! Lets make up lots of new rules to limit how it can be used. We must stomp out anything that wanders from our core subject. All else will be what, edited, moved or possibly deleted without warning? M151's and M416's only, NO EXCEPTIONS!

While allowing M-416 trailers, why not include a few of the other trailers as well? Contrary to what you may read here, there was not only one trailer made for the M151, but a series of trailers. The M569 series of trailers were made for G838 series vehicles. M-416, M-716, M-762, MRC-115, and MRC-127's, and I'm sure there are more, all meant to be towed by 1/4 ton vehicles. :P

I would think any well documented restoration of a military vehicle submitted by a member, may be of interest to other members and should be considered worthy and welcome. If for no other reason, just because it's green. "Limited to only M151's and M-416's"? Unpucker a little bit boys and see what happens. Having the restoration project of an M101A1 trailer doesn't exactly make us the 503 does it? I'm interested in the homemade rotisserie project too. Why not ease off the detailed restrictions until you perseve there to be an actual problem? :x

Ray, Is there ANYTHING you do not rebel at? I see that Jim has put up a poll. Will you be happy if the results come back the same? I only made the suggestion because we advertise ourselves as a dedicated M-151 site. I realize there are other trailers and they could be included, it was an open ended statement. BUT, It should be directly related to the M-151. Other stuff can continue to go in General and in the picture forums. Your last paragraph is a little inflammatory don't you think? Read the title, G838 M151 Restoration projects. And if I unpucker my hemorrhoids fall out.

Even I believe the focus of this section should be G838 and G569 related. I just don't see the need to be so focused, as to sight unseen BAN some future restoration project we all could learn from, and may enjoy seeing too. Banning other MV related restoration projects here won't have any effect on what I post, only in what I am allowed to see and enjoy on this site. As for the Restoration Page, maybe a link to the original threads similar to the "Manuals" page. That way moderators could keep it neat, clean, and organized. Using it as a free for all forum, or moving old threads here may clog it up and make it difficult to locate specific threads as they migrate back to the top every time a comment is added. This wasn't my idea in the first place, I just offered my personal opinion as did others. Also, very happy to learn that when it comes to your inflammatory pains Rick, that I at least have company.
