Some of the parts we sell - tool box cover - has extensive spot welding of the hinge, handle and stiffener brackets. That is done on an Amada spot welder. Does a very nice job. Of course, they are in the $30K range to purchase so it should look good!

Ok, fellas. Ever hear of LORD Fusor metal bonding adhesive? This product is used in conjunction with the spot-welding process and looks like something that a 151 project would benefit greatly from considering how many open joints there are. Looks like you weld right through the adhesive!

Interesting stuff, pricey but looks like it would get the job done. Modern adhesives are being used in place of welding on a lot pf panels nowadays.

So I noticed on my A1 that the rear panel face is not 90 deg to the rear fender tops. Like not even close. About a 3/8" - 1/2" gap at the top meaning that the bottom is swept out. I've installed the new rear panel and fender tops but did not alter the original areas that these panels mount to. And the fender supports are original and were not removed. So, now I'm curious. Can a few of you put a square on your rear fender tops and see how the rear panel looks?

Indeed, I was in the Christmas SPIRITS.

and it was my wife's party, nothing like getting tore up in front of the wife's bosses, free booze is always the best booze and they had the good stuff.

I just checked the one side I could get to on mine and it is square from the top of the fender down the rear side panel.

I just noticed you wanted the fender to rear panel. I will have to take the top loose for that so that will have to wait another day. Are you sure that is not a result of all of the other work you did on the rear end? Just doesn't make sense to do that when everything else is square corners and bends.
