Hi Sam. I will PM you. I finished welding in the battery trays yesterday. I'll get some pictures posted this week. I'm going to start the drivers side front fender next. Fender is already made, just have to remove the old and fit the new.

On Saturday I finished installing the battery boxes. I stitch welded the boxes to the floor pan on the bottom and used the TIG welder to fuse the seam on the top side. I lightly da sanded the top to break any stress risers. I also attached some pictures of the bottom floor pan. I have to finish stitch welding the pan to the floor support. I will try to get the tool box made (or at least started) this week. I've also attached some pictures of the brackets that I made to fix the de-mill job.

The corner pieces are machined out on the inside to lighten them up some. But to your point, they are heavy duty compared to stock.

I'm glad we have this section because it will show that most anything can be brought back from the grave. Also gives me ideas on how to fix the same problems areas I'm going to face.

Started the tool box on Friday. Didn't get anything done on Saturday due to Blue Moon the night before. Did some fit up work on Sunday and some more tonight. I've been using "weldable" primer between all panels. It's a little bit of a pain in the ass to work with but should help prevent some rust in years to come. I will also be using POR (paint over rust) on the inside of the frame rails. I will start welding the tool box in and making the rest of the fill pieces this week. Here is what I have so far:

I finished the fab work on the tool box tonight. Still have to complete the plug welds. My next move will be to replace the drivers side front fender and then I have to make the drivers side floor board. Pictures will follow... :D

Not exactly stock but definitely an improvement over stock for your intended use. Especially the extra deep tool box. The recessed batteries are a good idea also, I get nervous every time I put the cover on mine.
