Hello Scotty not sure but the two radios I bought came from a collector in Ontario. I have repainted some of this radio as the 20 coats of old brushed on paint did not look that great, the radio had 12 B painted on the side in black that I plan to put back on. So a 25 set right ? :)

I do make them were full face shields and or safety glasses when working in the shop.As you can see a full face shield in one of the pics They were just posing at the times the pics were taken. Something about their girlfriends possibly seeing the pictures  glad you noticed but it also gets me thinking that maybe I should not allow any acceptions to this rule not even for photos as this could be seen in a different light by others.

Yea, that caught my eye right away too, safety equipment. In today's world just having students at your house working on something opens you up to a world of hurt if one of them gets hurt. The liability lawyers would be all over it and your homeowners policy holder would say they never knew you! If you want the students to work on it that is great but it is best to do it at the school where everything is covered.

Some major frame work to be fabed . local metal shop will be supplying some of the frame replacement parts.
Image
This A2 had been cut in half and welded back ,most of the frame was plate steel cut in different shapes and welded into a frame .

The two end caps of the cross member are gone .
Image
The frame rail on the pass side has broke from its weld.

Here you can see how they framed over the orig cap rail. I decided to check the mesurment of the two sides from the dash to the top of the rear fender and found that the jeep had been welded together and was out 1 1/2" on the passenger side.

M151A2 Restoration

Unread post by armybuck041 » May 11th, 2013, 1:33 pm

I have to tip my hat to you. That is one hell of revival project. I think both of my parts MUTTs were only marginally rougher than that. It's really too bad you weren't able to find something a touch better.
