Forgot all about it, had some decent weather for once and worked on the camper. I wrote myself a note to check when I get home.

On the subject of "power" from a mutt, mine is a little cold nature'd, but once its warmed up, it seems fine. However, the last time I moved it out of my shed, i hit the gas a little too hard, and it threw grass and mud all over the place, from "both" rear tires. Does the MUTT rear differential have a locker in it ???
It's the first time i ever got on it good like that in the yard, and it left two equal length trenches from the rear tires, but i didn't expect that and wanted to ask about it.... :?: I also had noticed that it will seem to drag a rear tire on sharp turns in the yard, but i had been over looking that until the double trench thing...lol

No lockers, you just had equal traction with both tires so the power went to both wheels. Unless the PO welded the gears in the rear. You would know that as soon as you make a tight turn and the inside tire digs up the turf at slow speed. Or you jack it up and both wheel turn together in the same direction, OR jack it up in gear and you cannot turn one tire. All of the above would indicate welded gears.

Thank's that all makes more since. I am sure nothing is welded, because I had it jacked up one wheel at a time before when I was adjusting the brakes, it seemed O.K. then... so your most likely 100% correct about the equal transfer of power at the time...

Went on a 40 mile shake down. Sigh, gear oil dripping from the drain hole in the bottom of the bell housing. :(
Other than than a little sputtering at 5mph and the oil leak nothing flew off or exploded like a grenade!

Rick, any chance you got a look at the dizzy vent fitting that's on top of the carbs? I'm now worried about the prestolite module overheating from lack of venting.
I'm getting a vacuum in the tube that ties into that darn carb fitting so it is definitely not venting the dizzy.

On the plus side the brakes are now bleed! I had to pressure bleed them to get all the air out. Just got done taking it for a lil' spin around the block. Chirped the tires taking off, tons of power! Happy camper!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Sent you a pm on the fitting.
Just wanted to mention that the vacuum is not there to cool the module, or the coil for that matter. It is there to remove ozone from the distributor which is produced by the arcs from the rotor to cap connection. Ozone is very corrosive to electronics and metals in the distributor.

Still had plenty of throttle to go but the butt pucker factor was pegged out! The batt. gauge is sticking, hit it and it went to the green.

If you take a GPS out with you you will find that the speedo is probably off by quite a bit. Now we will find out if your wife reads the forum, was the pucker factor from the speed or her driving? Choose your words carefully.

That is true, while holding a GPS in one hand, a camera in the other and I assume steering with is knees. All the while pulling a trailer. That is a record that Darwin would be proud of.

Awe shucks guys. I think riding with someone going 60 is braver than driving at 60, but it'll take 71.6 mph to beat this one...
