Hey all:
I have finally started taking pix of the work as it goes along.
Today I undercoated the M151. I had experimented with several products before deciding to go with spray can pick up bed coating. I have been using this product on my ambulances (I own a fleet of Ambulances in the Boston area) for years, and it far out performs normal undercoating. It does not peel or chip off leaving areas exposed. (The underside of the truck was in excellent condition when I started, I suspect because it was undercoated. I cleaned off all the original tar undercoating, in many places leaving pristine 24087 paint. Made what ever repairs were required, primed and painted the underside and sprayed the liner on.
I know there are pro and cons, but from past experience I think it cuts down on the rear diff noise and the"thrumming" from the rear floor, as well as stopping salt water from getting between panels.
I hope everyone is having a productive weekend
Hank

I use the Duplicolor rattle cans of truck bed coating for a couple of reasons: First it goes on nice an thick, it dries pretty fast (Within 24 hours it is hard to the touch), and I have cases of it in stock at my office. (Like my family crest says "Si liberum est mihi" (English translation- "If it is free, It's for me!")
