My 1963 Willys M151 restoration project.

Unread post by Roboskid » August 15th, 2014, 10:14 pm

Well as promised I am starting a tread on my 1963 Willys M151. I am attaching some before pictures. I am collecting bits and pieces for the restore. Already have a battery box floor ordered from Fil and Driver's and Passenger side flood panels on the way from Guy at CMD.

That sure is a good load of engine and tranny parts.... I bet you get something up and running before you know it.

It's a shame that all of those engines are open to the rain except maybe the upside down one. I can pretty much guarantee they are scrap.

Rick I took the vinyl tarp off to take pictures. I have only had the jeep, trailer and parts for a few months. Gave a man a little credit :)

Sorry, I was looking at the rust inside the intake and exhaust ports of the closet engine and the transmission tower in the one pic.

I know what your saying Rick. Unfortunately that is the way I got them. I keep the trailer covered hopefully I will be able to salvage enough parts to have 2 running motors. I have been going over the TMs every day so I know what I am looking at.

Merry Christmas Folks. Its been a while since I have posted any progress on my restoration project. As we all know life can get in the way of the best laid plans. Well I have started up again this month and have started stripping the 151 to the tub. I will be welding a rotisserie soon. I am still up in the air if I going to try and sand blast it myself of send it out to do it. Once the tube is blasted i will start the body work. As I remove parts I take pictures place in ziplock bags and label everything. Here are a few pics of the progress.

Making progress. I see a loader in the background that looks exactly like mine, The reason it catches my eye is they are pretty uncommon. Is that a Massey Ferguson 832 self loading loader on that tractor?
