Canvas top, side curtains and doors

Postby Alvaroxyz » August 19th, 2014, 1:05 pm

Hi, i am reserching about canvas set buying. I found out that buying the complete set in the US costs arround 800 dollars, and ship them to my country another 800 dollars approximately!!!
Another m151 owner here showed me a piece of canvas cloth bought in Argentina, and told me the price and it became quite cheaper to make a set. I have a canvas top inbad condition but it will help us to make a copy. I would be really thanked if anyone could pass me some photos and dimentions of the curtains ( the window size and location in the curtain and distance beteeen the straps) and if you are in a good mood, the doors!! ( i know the shape is special and maybe takes time to measure them so i don t expect to take much time of you)

Thanks and keep in touch

The biggest problem is you will need the frames for the doors and the rod from the bow to windshield bar down to the body for the front of the side curtain. That rod also holds the door shut.

I ve just messaged another owner to borrow the door frames and other pieces to take them to the blacksmith to make a copy. At least the ones i need to install the side curtains. Until i find original ones, the same with door frames...

I can get you some detailed pictures and measurements but not until after I get back from the Virginia rally on September 2. Someone else may get to it by then but if not I will get them to you. Send me a PM on the 2nd if you did not get what you need.
