Dan , did you really mean stainless wiring?

Well I know for sure it was steel wiring  the stainless part "may" be wrong!

Dan , going to make a guess that wiring was probably tinned copper not steel.
Too many problems with other types of wire namely corrosion and oxidation.

I am a little curious, and don't take this as a criticism. Since you are making this accurate right down to the last detail why did you opt for a data plate with printed serial number, date of delivery and inspectors stamp instead of what would have been originally stamped?

Rick, I guess it was just personal preference. Didn't have to worry about goofing up a bunch of plates by not getting the stamping done nice, and I know the original ones weren't perfect either, really no real reason. I also painted my copper lines in the engine compartment since the pictures were taken. I personally like the look of bare copper lines, probably comes from restoring antique tractors and engines, but I did feel like they stood out to much on this. I also am sure some of my bolts should be painted, but so far I have opted to leave them either silver or yellow zinc. When I get a picture up of the stencils on the gas tank side you will also see something that I have never seen before or since, but ours in Germany had it that way and that is what I am going to use, since I have some pictures of it that way.
