I'd like to take credit for that idea.... but last year, while visiting my son at Ft Lewis, I went to the Ft Lewis military museum. They had an M151A1 that had been a commanding generals vehicle that had the ammo can between the seats. I found several of the correct size (for 40mm ammo), on eBay, and have put them on the last four vehicles I've restored.Tom wrote:What a beautiful restoration! The one in the museum appeared to be from the 70s. They had 3 or4 more rough ones back under a roof in their storage area. One had holes there, which appeart to be to mount the ammo can.rickf wrote:That idea goes back many decades.
I have on in my encore. It's great.
