If you want to send me the old one I will see if I can fix it up for you once you take it apart again. You do not have to take it out to run the other one, of I should say you shouldn't have to. If it does not pull gas you might have to take the pump out and rig a line in the tank with a weight on it to keep it on the bottom. Be sure to run a filter in the line.

Lindsay,
wht don't you try Rick? He has posted several times asking for non-functioning electric pumps to repair. It will also be of benefit to us all because I'm sure Rick will take pictures of what he finds..... I for one have never seen the insides of that type of pump. :D
Ken
Kind regards....
Ken

Jim Diamond will be down there for the show, if you want to send anything up to me just give it to him and he will give it to me when he gets back. Or when I get back on my feet and stop over to get it if h has anything. Or if you find someone else........... Makes no diff to me. It sounds like yours is an electrical short in the wires and if they are fried I probably will not be able to do anything. If there is still some good wiring there I should be able to make it work. There is not much in there in the way of rebuildable stuff, just clean and go. If the coil goes out then it is toast. I saw somewhere that someone modified a deuce pump to work, don't remember where I saw that.
