I'm checking out head gaskets on eBay. I see there are two types:
1. Pure metal
2. Metal with cork material.
Which one is most recommended?

The thicker the gasket the lower the compression, the lower the compression the lower the power. I am pretty sure the original is the metal one, my set is out in the shelter and I am not going out there right this moment but I will check later. Use Permatex copper spray sealer on the metal gasket. Not too thick.

Re: Best M151 Head Gasket
I have never seen a M-151 head gasket with "cork" material, some of the stuff on e-bay is not for the M-151 motor.

Re: Best M151 Head Gasket
Thanks guys. I'll buy the metal one (and it's cheaper too!).
