Installing front wiring harness

Unread post by on-to-berlin » June 8th, 2017, 3:26 pm

I am in the process of getting the wires in. Back harness already in. Front is half way in. Now I am asking myself of how where to feed the cables behind the dashboard. The A2 has the heating tubes and there is not a lot of space. Can anyony post a picture of there to feed the connector for the light switch through? DOes it go under the steering column?
Help much appreciated!

Its been some time since I assembled the last A2.if I am not mistaken I installed the harness without the heating duct in place. It may be a good idea to remove it first.
You should feed the harness from under the dash over the steering column to the engine compartment by removing the large rubber grommet. Feed the other leg to the area of the instrument panel and connection to rear harness.
It take a little time and patience but doable.
