wheel cylinder
Greetings,
Are there a current wheel cylinder for a M151. I think that both the front and rear take 3/4 inch style, I was looking to buy at a NAPA or other local auto parts store. I looked in the Wiki but it did not list any.
Thanks

Re: wheel cylinder
Wheel cylinders are 1" in the front, 3/4" in the rear. Remember, your front brakes perform the majority of the braking action since, upon braking, there is a dynamic weight shift to the front. A larger wheel cylinder helps accomplish that. The back brakes serve to assist in braking but also keep the vehicle in a straight line. Do otherwise and your braking experience will be squirrelly.
Why not check out the G838 resource list and utilize the suppliers whose business it is to keep the hobby rollin'? I'm sure they'd be happy to provide you with the correct parts. I just bought a part from RAPCO and had it within two days. (applause!)
Cheers,
TJ

Re: wheel cylinder
Thank you all. I could not get the Wiki to list properly.
Re: wheel cylinder
A lot of people have retrofitted the A1 with the one inch front wheel cylinders. I did it on mine and I am very happy with the results. No more worries about the rear end coming around in a hard braking situation.
