Rear brake hose

Unread post by recon217 » June 17th, 2017, 9:30 pm

Just got my A2 home, seems to have blown the left rear brake hose. Is there something I can use from a local parts store until I order a whole new set?

Thanks,
Mike

When I did the same thing , I put a screw in plug in junction block so I could drive it(brakes on 3 wheels)

There is a cross reference section in the Wiki, located at the top right of page, I don't know of any aftermarket brake hoses, you can find them from most dealers, if one was bad, I would change them all, rubber doesn't age well, and nothing more important than your brakes, hope that master cylinder is still good, you will enjoy that job. Hambone

You can take the old hoses to a place that makes hydraulic hoses for tractors and construction equipment and they can make one that will fit exactly.

If that is your only vehicle and you absolutely HAVE to drive it then you can take a piece of regular brake line and cut it off and solder the end shut and screw it into the junction block. BUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Be aware that the first time you hit the brakes even semi hard the other back wheel will lock and pull you around sideways. I hope your A2 has ROPS and belts!
