My choke cable broke :-(

Man that sucked! The tube came lose from the cable housing. This has to be right up there on the hardest, simple part to replace!
Pulling the ROPS was a task as well, but glad I'm making progress.

try putting in a heater, ya removing the rear ROPS pipe from the foot was very tough too,that's all I can think of right now

No kidding! Not only was it a bit rusty and suspect a bit out of alignment...but the bar system is shockingly heavy :-)

Take out the instrument cluster and you should be able to ge a wrench in there to remve the hex nut holding the cable.

As far as tacky jobs are concerned ,
Try installing a heater kit in to an A2 with a ROPS.
Now that was fun!

That's what I thought as well. I was wrong, I have two circuit breakers bolted to the dash, those had to be removed first. They did not have trapped nuts so getting them off was no big deal, getting them back on was special.
Also putting the cable through the correct spot in the firewall fitting was a chore! I have the heater installed already so it will get a lot of use in Arizona..... Not!
