Prestolite ignition

Did the Prestolite ignition use the same rotor as the points ignition?, I know the Swiss module has a different rotor.

Found a box full(50+) of NOS prestolite modules at a flea market, going to make an offer on them Saturday, I was concerned about the rotor.

Good find but I bet half of them are degraded and the rest are close behind.

anyone still running them? The NOS swiss may run out one day, then you are left with the China swiss.

I have heard of people repotting the electronics on them. The trick is getting the old crap out without damaging the electronics which cannot be disturbed. They are a good system as far as the electronics goes, it was the potting material they used to house the electronics that went bad and melted and then the electronics would short out.
