The bracket on the brake pedal to which the brake light switch rod is connected has broken and rather than replace it I have fitted a hydraulic switch to the banjo that fits to the Master Cylinder. There is a threaded hydraulic output there for that purpose and I am wondering why they chose to use the Heath-Robinson contraption as standard rather than a hydraulic switch?

Re: Brake Light Switch
Some genius in the contract department decide that when the A2 came about they had to change something so why not? (as good a guess as any)

Dad always has said "there is the right way, the wrong way, and then there is the Army way."
Sounds good to me
